One of the things we love most about a cruise with Star Clippers is the relaxed informal atmosphere on board all three ships.
There are no pre-set seating arrangements in the dining room and each dining room has a number of different table sizes, so you simply sit where you wish and with who you wish including the ship's officers who join passengers in the dining room most nights. As you will see from below dining times are wide and you can choose to eat whenever you prefer within those times.
What to wear for meals is a matter of your own personal taste. Shorts and t-shirts are fine for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, gentlemen should wear long trousers, shirts with collars and sleeves: Jackets are optional.
Menus will feature international cuisine as well as some local specialities and your catering steward will be happy to recommend a wine to complement your meal.
Early risers can enjoy a continental breakfast with Croissants, Toasted English muffins or sweet Danish pastries. Or savour a full breakfast with fresh tropical fruit and crisp bacon and, grilled sausage. Omelettes are cooked to order in front of you and are highly recommended by us, always perfectly cooked and a great way to start the day.
At lunch a marvellous buffet of seafood, salads and grilled favourites await you and if the days includes a stop at one of the many private islands Star Clipper visits may also include an excellent outdoor barbeque on shore — Not to be missed!!
When evening comes the dining room is transformed into an elegant restaurant and the setting for the chef's finest culinary presentations
