Begin your adventure in the ancient port city of Bari - the perfect starting point to explore Puglia's rich cultural history. Spend two nights enjoying panoramic views from the seaside promenade and exploring historic streets in the heart of the ancient city. Included in your stay is a full-day excursion to Alberobello & Matera, both designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Renowned for its rich history and distinctive cave dwellings, Matera's ancient architecture - including the Sassi cave houses - offers a unique glimpse into human settlement dating back thousands of years. 

Next, you'll board the high-speed Frecciarossa train to Rome, where you can sit back and admire the changing scenery as you zip past rural landscapes and towns. In Rome, you will transfer to the magnificent Star Flyer, awaiting your arrival in Civitavecchia. 

Set sail and unwind on the deck as the Tyrrhenian Sea sparkles under the sun's golden rays, taking in sensational coastline views of Capri, Sorrento and beyond. Marvel at the volcanic wonders of Stromboli, as you sail past in the early morning light. Upon arriving in Lipari, you can escape to the Bianchi Thermal Baths for the relaxing mineral waters and views of the neighbouring islands. Wander Lipari Town's pedestrian streets lined with boutiques, trattorias, and gelato shops. 

Witness Messina's striking Duomo di Messina, a Norman cathedral with 54 mechanical figurines that put on an incredible display everyday at noon. 

Pulling into charming Amalfi as the sun sets into the sparkling sea, you can snap pictures of postcard-worthy pastel buildings cascading down hillsides; toasting the day's end with an Aperol Spritz gazing upon yachts bobbing in the harbour. The following morning, visit Ponza's idyllic tiny port. Hike cliffside trails with azure waters shimmering below, or perhaps indulge in seafood fresh from the day's catch.

Bidding southern Italy farewell at the journey's end in Civitavecchia, you will return home with lifelong memories to cherish.
