Cross the Atlantic with TV Naturalist Tony Soper
Depart the UK on the 11th April 2014 and fly to Barbados, where you will spend one night in a deluxe ocean view room at the Hilton Hotel on B&B basis.
On the 12th April you will transfer from the hotel to the port where you will embark the Royal Clipper and your 16 night transatlantic sailing will begin. A transatlantic sailing with Star Clippers provides you with the perfect opportunity to get to grips with a truly authentic sailing experience.

Naturalist, author and broadcaster Tony Soper co-founded the BBC's now famous Natural History Unit. In subsequent years, as a freelance presenter, he devised and anchored the popular Birdwatch programmes, presented the film series Discovering Birds and Beside the Sea, and the long-running environmental series Nature on BBC2.
Star Clippers are honoured that Tony will be joining them on this unforgettable voyage. Whilst onboard Tony will be hosting five lectures based on the following;
- Arctic: An Introduction to Arctic birds, Arctic mammals, Discovery and exploitation of Arctic wildlife, 101 uses for a puffin........a seabird history.
- Antarctic: The discovery and exploitation of Antarctic wildlife, Seabirds of the Southern Ocean - albatrosses, stinkers and painted petrels, Masters of Flight - a celebration of penguins, "Thar she Blows" - a history of whales and whaling, Oceans of birds.
- Atlantic/Pacific: A life on the ocean wave - an introduction to seabirds, The great auk mystery....an ornithological whodunit.
